*funny moment with my officemate*

i have 984739 funny moments with my officemate that i can recall.  we are the same age and both in grad school. and both not in serious relationships. we usually relate to each other on many levels. she's always talking about how she wants to get married by 30 and start having kids.  and i always tell her that she can't set deadlines on these matters or she will turn out to like one of those women in sex and the city- this, of course, is horrifying.

my car was in the shop today so she gave me a ride to our reasearch headquarter (which is across the river).  on the car ride i was telling her about how my mom kept me on the phone til 1am last night.  my mom has this childhood friend who lives in VA.  i've never met her but i guess she has two single sons and wants me to meet one of them.  to be accurate, my mom is not trying to set me up.  however, she was talking about how she wants to set me up- but is NOT going to, of course.  so... i'm not even really sure if her friend wanted to set me up with her son or her son's friend... but anyways, my mom said her friend had all these questions like...

how old is she? how tall is she?  is she pretty? (hello?? how do you think my own mother answered that one? objectively?) what is she studying? how's her personality?

so i was telling my officemate what my mom relayed to me and said "what am i, a piece of meat? why does she want to know my size? i'm surprised she didn't ask how much i weigh"  and her response was... "i wanna be a piece of meat."

hahahah i had a good laugh. :)

Boston was fun.

every time i go to b-town- and this is EVERY time- an i shall talk about it every time- i think about how i could be THERE instead of being in connecticut! by the river, surrounded by fellow students, there is no college town like boston.

Fenway park was fab. seeing the sun set over the fenway park sign.... was beautiful.  two of my yale friends met up with us in chinatown- i was touched and happy :)  the food was terrrible.  went with my officemate and another intern.  my officemate is one girl who constantly reminds me of what a truly nice and ever patient person.... that i am :)  hahah i work with a true gongju- princess to the core.  but you know how it is... we all have those overly bossy, controlling, my way or the highway moments....right? :)  pics galore!
